Vision
Our products are inspired by our experiences in architecture, design, and technology – and grounded in our desire to produce furniture that is affordable, ecologically sound and modern. In each piece, we strive to achieve an optimal balance between functional clarity, cultural resonance and diverse materiality. We encourage customers to configure each of our pieces to their specifications – in order to achieve the right combination of technical integration and form for their environment. Finally, at a sculptural level we strive to blur the line between form and function allowing our work to both blend into - and contrast with your environment.
Our guiding principles
- Diverse materiality – we look for a rich combination of materials which deliver formal refinement tempered with industrial heritage.
- Customer configurability – we believe customers should have a choice and collaborate in the configuration of their furnishings.
- Cultural resonance – we strive to create work that is both modern but grounded in our shared experiences. Our work is evocative of concert rigging, tripods, scaffolding, and movie set structures.
- Formal provisionality – we aspire to provide objects that are articulated and adjustable – enabling our furniture to adapt to new technology and usage scenarios.
- Affordability – we believe that we can make great products here in America at a price that makes sense.
- Ecological soundness – we attempt to use renewable or recyclable materials in our products.
